Black Label Hot Sauce (Limited Edition)

* THE SAUCE *

This is the first of our 'black label' limited edition batches and is something we've wanted to do for a long time. We've used 'super hot' chillis from a single home-grown plant to create a sauce that combines the flavour of our standard recipe and fermentation method with the individual flavour - and the extra heat - of some of the hotter varieties we grow each season. This first batch uses the legendary 7 Pot Trinidad and comes from a plant we purchased as part of a mystery batch of seedlings that went on to produce some of the most amazing pods we've ever grown. This is a serious chilli that is both loved and respected in its native Trinidad and the clue to its heat level is in the name - there's a good reason why it's not called a 1 Pot Trinidad!

* THE PROCESS *

All of our products are fermented using modern processes and equipment. Fermentation is a method of food preservation and preparation that has been used by cultures all over the world since ancient times. It is a process where naturally-occurring microorganisms convert nutrients in foods into delicious new forms - in our case creating a richer, more complex sauce from the fresh ingredients we use. Hot sauces like Tabasco and Sriracha and foods like sauerkraut and kimchi are all made using variations of this method.

* PRODUCT INFO *

- Jar: 150mL
- Heat: This is a proper hot sauce. Not paint stripper hot - just properly hot.
- Ingredients: Chillies (1,000,000-1,500,000 Scoville Heat Units), Bell Peppers, Shallots, Garlic, Spices, Salt, Water, Love.
- Storage: Refrigerate after opening. Shake before use. Use within 3 months.

- EU Customers: Orders shipped to the EU are subject to VAT at your local rate plus local postal service handling fees. You will be billed for these charges by your local postal service once your items have arrived at your local customs authority. Your order will not clear customs for delivery until you have paid these charges.
